Tahir Hussain passes away
amir Khan’s father and writer-director-producer Tahir Hussain passes away early this morning due to cardiac arrest at Aamir Khan’s Bandra residence in Mumbai. He is survived with his wife, two sons and two daughters. When Hussain breathed his last, Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao was in Los Angeles. They are flying back for the funeral to be held tomorrow evening.
Tahir Hussain will be best remembered for producing films like Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), Zakhmee (1975), Anamika (1973) and Caravan (1973). He had also directed Aamir and Juhi Chawla starrer Tum Mere Ho in 1990.
He started his filmy journey in 1957 as an assistant director to his brother Nasir in films like Tumsa Nahin Dekha and Dil Deke Dekho.
Hussain’s grandson Imran Khan who is shooting in New Zealand is also returning for the funeral.
