“This is a huge honour that BAFTA thought me worthy of and it is wonderful to know that I am only the second Indian film actor who they are honouring with this recognition. What is even more exciting is that I am the first of the young generation to represent my film industry to the English audience. And by doing this they do not honour me, they honour the young talent of the Indian film industry,” said Abhishek.
