‘Khatron Ke Khiladi season 4’ hosted by none other than Khiladi No 1 Akshay Kumar went on air on Colors on Friday at 9 pm and Sambhavna Seth was the first one to be eliminated.

Mumbai terror attack accused Mohammad Ajmal Kasab's former lawyer Abbas Kazmi became the first contestant to be evicted from the ''Bigg Boss'' house.

Kazmi, who entered the "Bigg Boss 4" house in Lonavala with 13 other contestants, received the lowest votes in comparison to TV actress Sara Khan, model Hrishant Goswami and former woman bandit Seema Parihar, who were nominated with him.

Parihar bagged the maximum votes.The show went on air on Colors channel Sunday with Bollywood star Salman Khan.

Big Boss season 4 is finally on air. This established reality show kick started on the channel Colors last night i.e. Sunday.
The host of this TV show, Salman Khan received all the fourteen contestants amidst much fanfare in his trademark bindass style.

Registration for Kaun Banega Crorepati 4, to be hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, has begun. The producers of this popular quiz show will also start the promotion so that they can invite viewers to register for the game show.

The promotion will take place in two rounds. In the first round, from August 2 to August 8, viewers will be asked one question with four multiple choice answers every day. All landline and mobile subscribers, except Idea subscribers can take part in it.

The second round will be held for all Idea subscribers from August 11 to August 15.

Considering the previous response and curiosity among the viewers, the producers are doing every bit to live up to the expectations.

Indian-born Actress Bhairavi Goswami, fashion model, television host and humanitarian, has been maintaining a low profile for quite some time now. However, Bhairavi come back again and has three films releasing this year.

Balika Vadhu is the story of a girl child Anandi (played by Avika Gor) who is married off to an underaged Jagadish (played by Avinash Mukherjee) in a village in Rajasthan.

It showcases how her life changes after marriage and how the child deals with it. Till now the serial has been dealing with the story of child marriage and various family aspects related to it. Now, the makers have woken up to the fact that they have a message to share with the entire nation and would like to focus on the practical difficulties related to child marriage.

This, along with the fact that the story needed a change. As Sunjoy Waddhwa of Sphere Origins (the producers of the show) says, “Age leaps let us experiment further with the storyline. The five-year-leap is a natural progression. We wanted to bring in a refreshing change to the show and characters — new look, new situations with new twist and turns”. But what is the new twist? Before the leap, Anandi and Jagya (as Jagadish is fondly called) were asked to live apart for five years because both of them have become teenagers now and passing through a ‘critical’ age. Living apart would make sure that everything goes the way it should till they grow up and become responsible.

Post leap, the storyline shifts to a time when Anandi and Jagya have grown up and are busy in their individual lives. While both of them miss each other, they have been forced to stay apart and the time to finally meet each other fast approaching. The new Anandi — Pratyusha Banerjee — was introduced in the serial last week and has been getting mixed reactions from the viewers. While some say she is the perfect Anandi to have taken over from Avika Gor, others feel that her features are too sharp and model-like — a contrast to the fat and cute Avika.

Neha Janpandit was last seen in Star Plus's Shraddha, a show which was about the struggle of a girl who is very devoted to her parents and wanted to take them on pilgrimage at least once in her lifetime. But the show went off air abruptly and was replaced by Mahayatra. Since then, the girl has been on a break and she will now be making her comeback.

A source says, "Neha Janpandit will be seen in Contiloe Film's Sssh...Phir Koi Hai on Star One. She will be essaying the role of a college girl and will be playing an episodic lead for two episodes. The shoot for the track has not yet started and will begin in a couple of days."

UTV Bindass’ ‘Emotional Atyachar’ has become a tool for an individual to secretly gauge the loyalty of his/her partner. Many an individual has been caught with his pants down, literally, thereby saving an innocent from being duped.

Such spying looks real with ordinary people but when celebrities come on board, it invariably leads to speculation on whether the act is rigged. The show had earlier embarrassed Raja Chaudhary after his infidelity cost him his relationship with fiancé Shraddha Sharma.

This time, it’s the blabbering that it was Rahul Mahajan who was subject to an Emotional Atyachar by his wife Dimpy Ganguly. Strangely, Ganguly won over Rahul through a swaymavar, and barely few months after their marriage, she chose to do an emotional atyachar on her man. The rationale given is that Mrs. Mahajan has long heard about Rahul’s alleged philandering ways. She wants her hubby to be ridded of the Casanova tag, thus she approaches the team of emotional atyachar.
Well, all that is fine, but the presence of Dimpy’s swayamvar competitor Nikunj Mallik in the spy act does raise a few brows. After all, Nikunj was snubbed by Rahul in the swayamvar. Her intentions behind the spy act seem dubious.
It so happens that Rahul Mahajan and Nikunj Mallik bump into each other at pool side of a hotel. After a brief interaction, Mallik introduces Rahul to Priyanka Nandi - an EAT (Emotional Atyachar team) agent. As soon as Mallik leaves the scene, Rahul starts getting cozy with Nandi. Another EAT agent steps in and Mr. Mahajan is at his tricks again. Dimpy was shocked to see her husband’s theatrics.
Will this now lead to a break-up between the newly weds. We tried calling Dimpy but she remained unavailable for comment.
When contacted, Mallik said, “I’m under a contract with the channel. I’m not authorised to speak on it. You’ll have to watch the episode to see the truth.”
A channel insider accidentally claimed that the final act is yet to be shot. This immediately begs the question that why would a candid camera show require a final shot. After all, isn't all such footage spontaneous in nature?
An individual closely associated with the act says, “You (media) guys are very intelligent and you know how it all takes place. I don’t need to say anything. You can draw your own conclusion.”
Whatever the show might reveal, there will be no threat to Rahul and Dimpy’s marriage. Nevertheless, don’t forget to watch Emotional Atyachar at 11.00 pm on 30 April on UTV Bindass.

A 17-year-old boy from Gurgaon in Delhi was arrested by the Mumbai cyber cell for posting abusive and lewd messages in filthy language on the profile of a television actress on a social networking site.

The minor boy (name withheld) was picked up from his hometown in Gurgaon and produced in the juvenile court, which remanded him to the Dongri children’s home.

According to the police, in March, Aashka Garodia of Lagi Tujhse Lagan-fame lodged a complaint with the cyber police, stating that an unidentified person, with the profile name of Katrina Kaif, had sent lewd messages to her Facebook account.

In her complaint, she claimed that she came to know about it only after her friend, Rahil Bakshi, called her up and informed her about the abusive messages. The cyber police registered cases against an unidentified person for outraging the modesty of a woman and under the Information Technology Act.

At last the wait that has been going on for the last few months is over, and with it the struggle of the contestants to be the dancing star has also came to an end as Shakti is declared the winner of Lux Dance India Dance by the largest number of votes. The final stage struggle, among the four contestants (Dharmesh, Binny, Shakti and Punit), has been quite a spectacle as along with the contestants, their mentors (Remo D'Souza, Geeta Kapur and Terrance Louis) have also given eye pleasing performances live on stage.

The event was graced by Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor, Manoj Bajpai, and Prakash Jha (director) to promote their upcoming flick Rajneeti. Finally, after what has been a rollercoaster ride of sorts, Shakti has won the ‘Takdir ki Topi’ followed by Dharmesh, Punit and Binny as the runners up.

The serial on the life and times of Sikh king Maharaja Ranjit Singh will remind people about the significance of history and make them aware about the unsung heroes of our country, Prasar Bharati CEO B S Lalli said.
"As people tend to forget history, this serial will remind them about the significance, role and sacrifices of those unsung heroes of our country," Lalli told reporters yesterday, while announcing the launch of the serial.
I am sure the serial will be loved by all as it is about Indian history, he said.
Made by actor and MP Raj Babbar, the new show will be telecast on Doordarshan from April 13, every Tuesday at 10 pm.
DD has commissioned the serial and acquired all rights to telecast it, Lalli said, adding, "The serial is based on the life and times of Sikh king Maharaja Ranjit Singh who united Punjab and established a Khalsa Raj. Ranjt Singh had become a legend in his own lifetime and this needs to be shown to the people of today."
Maharaja Ranjit Singh is directed by Chitraath Singh and Sikander Bharti and produced by Nadira and Kuku Babbar. Jagjit Singh has composed the music.

After grinning and flicking her hair at the audience as the host of Bigg Boss Season 2, Shilpa Shetty is set to return to the small screen with Zara Nach Ke Dikha’s second season on Star One. This time around, however, she will be seen in the capacity of a judge—one of three on the show.

The actress, who recently married London-based businessman Raj Kundra, has been recently active on Twitter which is where she announced her entry on Zara Nach Ke Dikha. She wrote: “Promised to tell u all first...Will b judging Zara Nach Ke Dikha on Star. It’s official.” The actress further says that they will start shooting for the show soon. Shetty’s publicist confirmed the news.

The channel confirmed that they have been in talks with Shilpa Shetty among others like Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Farah Khan but they did not wish to comment on the development stated by Shetty on Twitter. “We had finalised Farah initially but the plan fell through since our dates clashed with Tees Mar Khan going on floors. We are looking at having a renowned actor and a choreographer from Bollywood. But we cannot comment on the developments till all contracts are signed,” said Vasudha Jha, VP, corporate communication, Star India.

IPL Live now on YouTube: There is good news for all cricket lovers as IPL (The Indian Premiere League) 2010 will now be aired live on YouTube.

This is indeed excellent news for all cricket fans that does not have the facility for live TV channels.

This will be aired on YouTube in collaboration with Google as declared on Tuesday by chief of IPL, Lalit Modi.

This is a 2 years contract from which IPL is likely to earn via sponsorship revenue sharing and advertising.

Whether these games can be watched for free or it requires some subscription charges is yet to be known.
