A major fire erupted at a prominent hospital in Hyderabad on Tuesday, sparking off an all-out effort to rescue patients and staff feared to be trapped inside.
Many patients and their relatives are believed to be stuck inside the super-speciality Park Hospital.
Fire engines and rescue teams had been rushed to the hospital. Witnesses saw many patients being wheeled out of the building. Others were seen being pulled out through the windows.
A fire officer at the spot told Headlines Today that while the flames had been brought under control, the priority was to ensure that all those inside the hospital were rescued.
