Airtel Delhi Half Marathon will take place on November 1 (Sunday), 2009, with celebrities from the world of cinema, sports and politics gracing the event to boost the participants. The event, which started in the year 2005 has switched sides from one sponsor to another. Earlier it was sponsored by Hutch and Vodafone, last year another telecom giant Airtel took its mantle and this year in its fifth edition it will be Airtel once again sponsoring the event. Although the Delhi Half Marathon is still in its nascent stage but owing to its success, it has been accredited IAAF Road Race Gold Label for the year 2009 event.
