Cyber Monday 2009 Begins Peak Season In UK:Cyber Monday, the first Monday after the last weekend of November, marks
peak season for online retailers in the UK. This year, Cyber Monday falls on
30 November. Originally coined in the United States by the National Retail
Federation, Cyber Monday has become a UK shopping phenomenon as online sales

peak on Mondays two or three weeks before Christmas. Shoppers spend the
weekends browsing and buying in stores and upon returning to the office on
Monday, turn to the Internet to start shopping for better prices and items
they could not find in stock. Moreover, many online retailers report that
peak online sales occur during the hours of 1200-1400 GMT, during lunch
break.

grow – the Centre for Retail Research projects that online retail sales will
