Bandh in Telengana region affects normal life

Normal life in the Telangana region, including twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and adjoining areas of Rangareddy and Medak, was severely affected as Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) agitators damaged private vehicles and properties today, following the bandh call given by the party, protesting the arrest of its leader K Chandrasekhara Rao and the lathicharge on Osmania University students yesterday.
The agitators resorted to damaging private vehicles and properties in various areas of the city. They damaged a petrol bunk and parked cars and pelted stones on a business establishment in Tarnaka area on the city outskirts.
They also set on fire a private school bus in Secunderabad area and also pelted stones on private vehicles.
Lawyers in Sircilla in Karimnagar and Nizamabad have boycotted the courts and organised 'rasta roko' in response to the bandh call.
The agitators also stopped the Nandigama express train at Adilabad Railway station, goods trains at Intekenne and Kesamudram railway stations and a passenger train at Warangal railway station.
The agitators also damaged the furniture at the Mandal Revenue Office in Medak. The students of the Osmania University ransacked and damaged the furniture at the quarter of AP State Higher Education Council Secretary Christopher in the campus.
