McLaren MP4 12C sports car in Indian by next year
British car maker McLaren Automotive will launch McLaren MP4-12C by next year with a price tag of Rs. 87 lacs – 1.2 crores. The 12C cars are design through Formula1-inspired engineering with a revolutionary carbon fibre chassis and an absolute focus on efficiency.

The model is powered by a V8 Bi- Turbo 3.8-liter that generates about 600hp and 600 Nm of torque of 433 lb-ft. The top speed of the car is more than 200kmph. In less than 3.5 seconds the car can accelerate from 0kmph to 60kmph. It has 7-speed Seamless Shift dual-clutch gearbox (SSG).
MP4-12C also features a revolutionary carbon fibre chassis structure. The Carbon MonoCell, also called 12C Monocell helps in lowering the weight of the car and body panels. Brakes with forged Aluminium hubs save 8 kg of weights. SSG minimizes vehicle length, weight and polar moment of inertia, lightweight exhaust pipes exits thought the rear of the car.

Ron Dennis, chairmen of McLaren Automotive confirmed that McLaren MP4 12C will be in India by the beginning of 2011, with an expected price tag between Rs. 87 lacs to 1.22 crores.
