Chinese residents in the New York City area responded enthusiastically to the news. As soon as NTDTV announced its new availability, its customer service hotline received a record number of calls.
PathFinder World Video LLC brokered NTDTV’s expanded service as its distribution agent. Its general manager Roger McGarrahan said, “NTD is a prime example of the quality programming and value an ethnic channel can provide their target audience. And Time Warner Cable’s New York City system is the ideal partner and market for a launch of NTD’s channel. PathFinder is very proud to have played a role to introduce NTD to a broader audience.”
