The nail biting budget of $300 million spent on Avatar proves to be worthy. The special effects have come out too well and movie proves to be a wholesome Directed by Avtar Bhogal, Honour Killing is about British Asians.

Avatar, also known as James Cameron’s Avatar, is an American 3-D science fiction epic film written and directed by James Cameron, due to be released on December 16, 2009[1] by 20th Century Fox. The film is co-produced by Lightstorm Entertainment, and focuses on an epic conflict on Pandora, an inhabited Earth-sized satellite of Polyphemus, one of three gas giants in Alpha Centauri A’s planetary system. On Pandora, human colonists and the sentient humanoid indigenous inhabitants of Pandora, the Na’vi, engage in a war over the planet’s resources and the latter’s continued existence.

The film will be released in 2D and 3D formats, along with an IMAX 3D release in selected theaters. The film is being touted as a breakthrough in terms of filmmaking technology, for its development of 3D viewing and stereoscopic filmmaking with cameras that were specially designed for the film’s production.[6] The film has been rated PG-13 by the United States MPAA for “intense epic battle sequences and warfare, sensuality, language and some smoking”.[7]

The movie has been well documented as one of the most visually stunning pieces of work currently available on the big screen, but with so much hype, someone is always willing to be let down, and that is definitely what this movie does not do.

If your thinking about going to see one of the biggest movies of present times, but can’t make up your mind yet, we can help you out with a roundup of some reviews for you. Releases for the James Cameron epic are due for December 18 in the US, and December 16 in the UK and Europe.

According to FirstShowing, The film is an experience, because it something that has been 10 years in the making, and nothing has ever been done like this movie, not in comic books, cartoons are anything alike. The 3D work put into the movie is superb, magical they say, and the story is breathtaking.

Time.com are also complementing the movie, but not as much as the above, but still say it is definitely worth watching for its extraordinary visuals, but are also saying the plot is the same old story, bad man falls in love with girl, etc. But what they are really saying, is watchthe film for the visuals as they say that all Cameron wants you to do is “open your eyes.”

SlashFilm are also giving the film a thumbs up, especially for it’s visuals, but say that the script is “epically bad,” and Rotten Tomatoes have given the film a 91% rating on the Tomatometer
