Danbury News Times invited several voters to vote for Boughton, while leaving the polling many have stated that according to their believes Boughton has done a great job for the city and they hope he will continue his mission.
The famous and authentic daily newspaper of the United States, The News Times has a circulation of around 30,000 papers per day. The News Times is based in Danbury as having its headquarters in Danbury. The Newspaper has a network of their publications in Connecticut, Brookfield, Newtown, Brewster, New York, Sherman, New Milford, Roxbury, Kent Connecticut, Bethel, Ridgefield, Redding, Newtown, and off course the city of Fairfield country Danbury.
The Hearst Corporation a multinational corporate media corporation has the ownership and control of all the operations of The News Times. It has around $4 billion of revenue.
Other then the Danbury Head office, The News Times has also established a news agency in New Milford. The News Times has also the ownership of a weekly newspaper named The Greater New Milford Spectrum. It has a network which covers main stations like Bridgewater Connecticut, New Milford, Sherman, Kent, Roxbury and Washington.
In 2007, the Hearst Corporation purchased the weekly Spectrum along with the news paper from the Community Newspaper Holdings for US 75 million. The Community Newspaper Holdings had purchased the paper and the weekly Spectrum from the Dow Jones and Company just before the four months back.
In 2008, the Hearst Corporation enhanced their product line by purchasing the Connecticut Post and its website and more then 6 other non daily newspaper from the Media News Group.
