The New York Yankees has 40 appearances. That’s over double the second place team. The Yankees have 40 appearances as a franchise in MLB. Moreover, that number is the most titles of any major sports franchise in North America.
The number counts the most Most World Series Championships appearances, win and losses. Number 2? The Los Angeles Dodgers with 18 appearances. And number 3? The St Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants with 17.
