Train services were today affected in Andhra Pradesh due to heavy rains lashing the state.
The South Central Railway cancelled or diverted a number of trains as water submerged two bridges in Kurnool district.

Trains that were cancelled on 3-10-2009 include: Kacheguda Bangalore City Express, Bangalore City Kacheguda Express, Hyderabad Tirupati Rayalaseema Express, Tirupati Hyderabad Rayalaseema Express, Tirupati- Kolhapur Express (both sides), Bangalore City Nanded Link Express and Yeshwantpur- Bagalkot Express, South Central Railway said in a release.
Trains partially cancelled include: Secunderabad Kurnool Train and Secunderabad-Guntur Passenger.
