After Accenture and Gillette, telecom major AT&T has dropped Tiger Woods as its brand ambassador, after the golfer's image was severely sullied by the alleged multiple extra-marital affairs.
“We are ending our sponsorship agreement with Tiger Woods and wish him well in the future,” said the US mobile phone giant.
In 2009, AT&T had inked a deal with the 33-year-old golfer to put its logo on his golf bag.
However, with this step the telecom major cuts ties with the world's best golfer who hosts the annual AT&T National golf tournament.
Interestingly, as of Friday, Jan 1, the AT&T website continues to show Woods as the host of the next tournament in Philadelphia scheduled to start Jun 29.
