Khatron Ke Khiladi level 2, kicked off yesterday with a bang in Cape Town, South Africa. All the thirteen celebrities had a commoner as a partner, unlike last year where they were paired with army officers. The contestants included some models, singers, television anchors along with a tough wrestler. Their partners were from different parts of India which included students, businessman etc.
The action star was at his best, trying to encourage the contestants. The first stunt had the contestants being blindfolded and brought to Hout Bay harbour. They had to walk on a long platform, unhooking small flags, as a strong wind with full water spray tried to blow them over. The stunt was not as easy as it sounds, as apart from withstanding the wind and water spray, they also had to weather out the platform itself, rising from one side to a fully vertical position. Most of the contestants were able to unhook four to six flags. Only model Jesse Randwa and TV actress Shevta Salve, managed to collect eight flags.
Sonika Kaliraman, the wrestler, cut her chin and required eight stiches in her attempt to do the stunt. Shewta Salve got the safety band and was saved from performing the second stunt as she took a few seconds less than Jesse to collect the flags in the first one.
The second task had everyone's heart in their mouths. The girls had to sit in an enclosed glass box and their partners had to pick up around 12,000 earthworms from a bowl with their mouths and spit them in the box. The pair which took the longest time to empty the bowl and tranfer the earthworms was to face the eviction.

Akshay Kumar wasn't happy from the first stunt performed by the contestants, but he was not disappointed by their efforts in the second. He kept on reminding the contestants that “Jo dar gaya woh ghar gaya.”(Whoever got frightened would go home). Shonali Nagrani and her partner took the longest time and thus had to leave the show.
The Khatron ke Khiladi level 2, promises to be more exciting and thrilling with scarier and dangerous stunts for the contestants. The ladies would be seen doing stunts with crocodiles, snakes and jumping from planes. Even the host Akshay Kumar would be performing stunts which include swimming with sharks and many more.
With Shonali evicted Bruna Abdullah, Sushma Reddy, Carol Gracias, Jesse Randhawa, Mandira Bedi, Nauheed Cyrusi, Rosa Catalano, Rupali Ganguly, Sonika Kaliraman, Pia Trivedi, Shveta Salve and Anushka Manchanda are the remaining twelve contestants left in the show to battle for the five million rupees prize.
So turn on Colors at 9pm tonight to witness the girls performing breath taking stunts which indeed would be a treat to watch.
