The new doodle can be seen on the Google search engine home page in Australia and New Zealand. The special doodle depicted paintings from Robert Louis Stevenson‘s famous novel Treasure Island.Capture
Treasure Island narrated the story of of pirates and buried gold. Treasure Island was first published in the form of a book in 1883. This novel was originally serialized in the children’s magazine Young Folks between 1881-82 under the title Treasure Island, or, the mutiny of the Hispaniola and the pseudonym Captain George North.
Users can also see the name ‘Google’ on the doodle. The first letter ‘G’ can be seen on the pirate, ‘O’ in compass of the map, ‘O’ on the mountains, ‘G’ has been marked on the ship, the flag of the pirates as letter ‘L’ and the final letter ‘E’ as the box with the treasure.
Robert Louis Stevenson was born on Nov, 13, 1850 in Scotland. He was essayist, poet, and author of fiction and travel books, known especially for his novels of adventure. Some of his famous works are Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, The Master of Ballantrae, Kidnapped, Prince Otto and Catriona. He died on Dec 3, 1894.
